Sausage Tree Camp in Zambia

Located on the banks of the beautiful Zambezi River, in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park is Sausage Tree camp.

This exclusive Zambian safari camp is the perfect location for some of the most remote and most exciting game viewing in Africa. The camp is luxurious yet retains a traditional safari style.

Each of the six Bedouin-style white canvas tents, has a private open-air bathroom, with running hot and cold water and flush "loo with a view". Each of the tents is privately located and enjoys an expansive river view. The decor is simple and classic and very comfortable and each tent is spacious and airy. The en-suite bathrooms offer hot and cold running water and flush loos. Twin beds are three-quarter size and double beds are king size. Each tent has a private viewing area and there is also a reading tent with a deck overlooking the river as well as a main mess tent and dining area.

Sausage Tree Camp offers a wide range of safari activities including: game-drives (both day and night), walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing for the world-renowned "Tiger fish". Sausage Tree offers personalized guiding, so you can decide exactly what you would like to do each day and when.

A typical day's activities might see you departing for an early morning walk after a strong coffee and muffins at sunrise to return mid morning for a bush breakfast followed by a gentle trip by canoe along the Zambezi banks. Pulling yourself ashore there waiting for you is a splendid picnic lunch laid out under the shade of a mopane tree. After refreshments you'll head back to camp to relax before an evening game drive before dinner. As with all of the camps and lodges we use all guides are experienced and qualified.
